Summary
Due to record growth, we have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer (ME). Our Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for implementing continuous improvement
intitatives which meet and exceed customer's expectations in quality, through-put and cost. ME's are responsible for leading the design, installation and improvement of
production systems with required integration of cross-functional teams, departments, equipment and materials.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for creating, implementing, maintaining and improving capable production processes, methods and sequences to achieve quality, through-put and cost targets. This includes working
with Production Associates to optimize productivity through efficient, ergonomic and safe work station designs, man-machine interfaces and assembly line layouts for current and new products.
- Advanced hands-on project management of new equipment acquisition.
- Actively involved in TS-16949 processes including Control Plans, PPAP’s, Process Capability Studies (Cpk), Statistical Process Controls, Gauging and Testing Techniques.
- Maintenance and application of the production standards system utilizing work measurement techniques such as time/motion studies, work content studies, etc. Analyze production costs to identify
and implement improvement efforts.
- Coordinate with product engineering personnel and suppliers to develop production tooling.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation as required by the various operating procedures such as Manufacturing BOM's, Labor Routings, Manufacturing Process Documentation, etc.
- Understand, implement and maintain ATS principles.
- Remain current in new manufacturing engineering technologies.
- Demonstrate successful Project Management techniques and abilities using engineering skills and people skills.
- Conduct supplier visits both domestically and internationally.
- Operate production equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
